Playground
Chat with your company's assistant the way a customer would, to test your published changes.
The Playground is a live chat with your assistant. It works exactly like a conversation with a customer and uses your published settings. Use it to check a change right after you publish it.
What you see
- A chat area. Before you start, it suggests what to try.
- A message box with Send at the bottom.
The assistant's replies can include:
- Text.
- Product cards, if your company has the commerce capability. Each card links to the product.
- Follow-up questions as buttons. Click one to send it as your next message.
- The name of the agent that answered, when an agent step composed the reply.
How to test a change
- Make your change in another page, such as Flows or Assistant, and publish it.
- Open Playground.
- Type what a customer would ask and click Send.
- Read the reply. If it is not what you expect, go back, edit, publish again and send another message.
How to read a reply with no text
Sometimes a reply has results but no text. The Playground tells you why:
- The flow composes no reply. The action's flow has no step that writes text. Open Flows and add a message step or an agent step to that action. Nothing is broken.
- The model call came back empty. The assistant tried to write a reply but got nothing back. This points to a technical problem, and your developers can find the reason in the logs.
Good to know
The Playground only uses published settings. Drafts you have not published yet do not affect it.
- Your messages stay in one conversation while the page is open. Reload the page to start a new conversation.
- Playground conversations go through the same path as real customers' conversations.
