Agents

Create and edit the AI agents that run inside your flows, including their prompt, model, tools and context.

An agent is one AI worker with its own instructions. Your flows call agents to answer questions, route conversations and more. On this page you see every agent your company has, and you can create, edit, test and remove them.

What you see

  • A count of defined agents and + New agent at the top.
  • A card for each agent. It shows the icon, name, model, number of tools and context sources. Some cards also show:
    • a role, such as "routes every turn" or "answers questions", when the assistant calls this agent by role;
    • "used by N flows" when flows use it;
    • an internal badge for agents that work behind the scenes. You can still edit these.
  • Removed. A list of agents you deleted, each with a Restore button. This section appears only when there are some.

Click a card to open the editor in a side panel.

How to create an agent

  1. Click + New agent.
  2. Enter a Name. The Id is filled in for you. You can change it now, but not after you save.
  3. Pick an Icon.
  4. Choose a Model, and set Temperature, Max tokens and Max tool steps.
  5. Under Tools this agent may call, tick the tools it may use.
  6. Under Context / data sources, tick what it should know about, such as Company facts or Guides (RAG).
  7. Write the System prompt. {{companyName}} is filled in from your company profile.
  8. Optionally pick a Retrieval flow.
  9. Click Save agent.

How to edit an agent

  1. Click the agent's card.
  2. Change what you need.
  3. Click Save agent, or Cancel to close without saving.

How to test an agent before saving

  1. Open the agent.
  2. In the Try it box, type a mission, for example a question a customer might ask.
  3. Click Run.
  4. Read the result. You see each tool the agent called, its output and how long it took.

The test uses the agent exactly as it is in the form, including unsaved edits.

How to delete or reset an agent

  1. Open the agent.
  2. Click Delete or Reset to default. Which one you see depends on the agent.
  3. Confirm.

Delete removes the agent. It moves to the Removed list. Click Restore there to bring it back.

Reset to default appears for agents the assistant calls by role. These cannot be removed, because the assistant would stop working. Reset puts back the built-in definition and discards your edits.

Good to know

  • There is no draft step. Save agent makes the agent live on the very next run.
  • Limits: Temperature 0 to 1, Max tokens 100 to 4096, Max tool steps 1 to 6.
  • With no tools ticked, the agent makes a single reasoning call over its context. With tools, it runs a limited loop of tool calls, and every call is audited.
  • The Catalog and Cart context sources appear only if your company sells through the assistant.
  • A Retrieval flow is a sub-flow the agent runs before it reasons, to gather material. You build sub-flows on the Flows page.
  • The Advanced section, marked raw JSON, lets you edit the whole definition as JSON. Click Apply raw JSON to load it into the form, then Save agent.
Tool calls made from Try it are real and appear in the audit log.
